UN REPORT : THE SITUATION OF HUMAN RIGHTS IN THE ISLAMIC REPUBLIC OF IRAN

According to a new United Nations (UN) report on Iran states that the Iran regime has secretly executed hundreds of prisoners.
The report, which is compiled by Ahmed Shaheed -the new UN special rapporteur on the human rights situation in Iran-, to be presented to the UN General Assembly on October 20, 2011. details a raft of abuses from the denial of women’s rights to torture, but the most shocking data was the skyrocketing rate of executions.
There are six different areas related to human rights issues are covered in the report, such as;
– Treatment of civil society actors
– Freedom of assembly
– Women’s rights
– Religious and ethnic minorities
– Capital punishment
– Detention for relations with foreign entities
